TROUBLESHOOTING LG STYLO 6 CONTINUOUS RESETTING/REBOOTING, CRASHING, FREEZING, OR UNRESPONSIVE TOUCHSCREEN

If your LG Stylo 6 experiences continuous resetting/rebooting, crashes, freezes, or if has an unresponsive touchscreen, restarting it may fix these issues.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to restart your LG Stylo 6 if it has any of the aforementioned issues.

Since the LG Stylo 6 uses a non-removable battery, you can use the soft reset (restart) process to simulate a battery removal when your device doesn’t respond, freezes or doesn’t power on.

Please note: Although, it’s rare, restarting your LG Stylo 6 may affect data (such as cached data, backup in progress, etc.).

There are 2 recommended methods to soft reset your LG Stylo 6.

First Method

Press and hold down the Power button on the right edge of your device.

Tap Power off and restart your device.

Tap Restart to confirm.

If your device won’t power back on, charge the device for some time and then retry.

If the device is unresponsive, use the second method below.

Second Method

Press and hold the Power button (on the right edge) and the Volume Down button (on the left edge of your device) simultaneously (at the same time) for approximately 5 seconds until the device switches off.

Release the buttons once the device powers off.

Leave the device for some seconds to complete the reboot process.

If your device won't power back on, charge the device partially then try again.

TROUBLESHOOTING CHARGING ISSUES IN LG STYLO 6

If your LG Stylo 6 has battery issues such as slow charging, no charging at all, or no charging indicator, the following steps will help fix your device problem.

Check your phone’s charging port for signs of water damage or corrosion, bent or broken pins, or blockage.

If your LG Stylo 6 won’t power on, press and hold the Power button for 5-10 seconds.

If the device powers on but the battery doesn’t charge, power cycle the device, then charge fully and re-test.

If you notice any charging anomaly on your device, check to ensure that you’re using a manufacturer-approved charging adapter or plug and a compatible USB charging cable. Using these will help you avoid inconsistent charging duration and other charging anomalies.

While your device is still connected to the wall charger, attempt to power it on.

If device doesn't power on, wait for few minutes and retry.

Check if the device and/or charger is/are displaying the appropriate charging/LED indicator.

Please note that, if the battery level is at the lowest, the screen may remain blank for up to 5 minutes before a low battery icon shows on the screen. In this case, powering up your device may take up to 2 hours.

If the step above fails, plug your device to a manufacturer-approved charger, if available, then try to power it on.

If the device still won’t power on after the previous step, use a manufacturer-approved USB cable connected into a computer to trickle-charge your device for about 45 minutes to 2 hours. After your device recovers, you can switch to charging by plugging into a wall outlet to continue charging the battery.
